Who we are

Philippe Meyroux
To talk about myself, since my early childhood, I have been drawn to gastronomy and wine, I'm a real epicurean. After a short curriculum at law shool, I quickly retrained into a food and wine career.

Freshly graduated as sommelier from the wine school in Beaune, I joined the world of gastronomy at renowned houses. I created wine lists in accordance with the dishes on the menu and counseled the clients, which of course requires a perfect knowledge of the wines.

After more than 20 years working as a wine waiter/sommelier in restaurants, I decided to take the chance of entrepreneurship with my wife Simone. Together we started a Bed & Breakfast, extending our family house with five guest rooms run by Simone. We also opened a wine and beer shop, selling fine French wines, German beers, spirits, as well as some regional products (mustard, honey, tea, ....). Over the years, we have built excellent relations with all our suppliers, but we do not hesitate to discover new producers.

Concerned to pass on my knowledge to others, I also teach sommellerie/wine waiting at the wine school in Beaune, regularly speak in wine tasting clubs, propose my services to various local institutions, for whom I select and provide the wines. 

As President of the 'Burgundy Sommelier Association' since 2016, I continue to share my passion and to promote the profession through various private and professional events.

A quite busy life that I share with my family. Curious by nature, I'm not afraid of questioning myself every morning, there's so much to learn and to discover...
